Wellness at Home

Wellness at Home

Just as the tourism industry adapted to new PPE protocols, the wellness travel experience has been crafted for home. For those clients looking for an escape but not yet ready to travel, there are ways to show your support, expertise, and care. Here are a few ideas.

Have you heard of Healing Hotels of the World? This collection of over 100 hotels, resorts, and wellness centers across the globe is a fantastic resource for any travel advisor looking for well-being. The properties are thoroughly vetted to ensure all aspects of the design, services, operations, and overall experience meet the parameters for true healing. This can mean holistic care for physical ailments and deeper, emotional healing. One of the beautiful things about staying at a Healing Hotel is guests often experience healing even if they did not travel with that intent.

These experts in the industry have created a program called Healing at Home. These are live virtual events open to clients across the globe. Attendees will meet healers from different countries in sessions that showcase their expertise. The group will meditate, be led in mindful movement, and share throughout the day. Expect at least four Healing at Home events throughout 2021. These are 1-2 day events, around four hours per day. Healing Hotels will send the itinerary with recommendations on how to mentally prepare and physically set up your space for the best at-home retreat. Keep in mind that there is a limited capacity to enable open, intimate discussions. Therefore, once the events are released get your client's tickets as soon as possible. For those dipping their toes in the healing space, consider recommending the Healing Summit calls. These come at a lower price point, are typically one hour, and unlimited attendees can join. During the Summits, the group will have a meditation and an inspirational talk. It's a fantastic way to lift your spirits.

Moving from hotels to tour operators… The first wellness tour operator, Pravassa, has designed transformational trips across the globe for the last decade. They help travelers connect to new places, cultures, and communities in unforgettable ways; all while balancing the mind, body, and spirit. Pravassa has utilized their knowledge and resources for Wander Home, a virtual wellness series. There are three different series available: Ground In, Interdependence, and Radical Love. Consider these like different packages available designed to deliver your client what they need from a retreat. The next step is decided between the three levels: Boutique, Luxury, or Premium. Each level provides pre-recorded videos with meditation, mindful movement, and additional extras like skincare routines, meditative writing, and sound healing. To ensure a peaceful escape, Pravassa has clients choose the dates for Wander Home so you can plan for it just like you would a vacation. Like Healing at Home, you will receive tips on how to set up your space for this virtual retreat. You will even receive Ayurvedic recipes in ample time to food shop. This is an extra-special part of Wander Home as the food your body receives is instrumental in wellness travel. Boutique and Luxury are two-day retreats, Premium is three days.

Pending where your client is with their wellness journey and their comfort level with traveling will determine which level of Wander Home to choose. Luxury includes food delivery so no cooking is necessary. It also comes with a nice gift bag. Premium is the elite level your luxury clients will be drawn to. It has everything Luxury includes plus an extra day and two private Zoom classes with healers. Note that Luxury & Premium are only available in the U.S. and Canada.

Besides the time clients will be investing in their own well-being with Healing at Home or Wander Home, they will also learn tools to keep these habits going long past the sessions they join. These insider wellness tips are the perfect way to show clients how much you care and get them excited to book their future wellness trip.
